Projects & the Overview Page
Projects come from two places: Convert to Project on a won bid (the usual path), or New Project on the Projects page — project number, name, GC, your role on the job, and location. Prospect-status projects can be promoted to Active when they're real.
The Overview opens with a health banner — On track, Minor attention, or Needs attention now — then KPI chips (participants, open submittals, open RFIs, drawings, open punch items), each deep-linking to its list. Needs Attention and What's Next tell you where today's effort goes. Below: the Project Directory card with click-to-call and click-to-email for every participant, the Contract card, and project details.
The Add to project toolbar starts anything pre-linked to this job: Submittal, Change Order, RFI, Daily Log, Time Card, Meeting, Task, or Email. And the project sidebar carries its own routes — Schedule, Photos, Contracts, Insurance, Draw Requests, Transparency, Directory — plus every list filtered to this project.
Try it yourself
- Create a practice project with a number and location, or convert a won test bid.
- Read the health banner and click through one KPI chip.
- Start an RFI from the Add to project toolbar.
Key takeaways
- Won bids convert; anything else starts from New Project.
- The Overview is triage: health banner → needs attention → what's next.
- Everything on a project is reachable from its sidebar, pre-filtered.
