Time Cards & the Employee Portal

GoalGet field hours in from a phone — with GPS on every punch — and run the approval flow in the office.

Field crews use the Employee Portal — a phone-first screen with two tabs, Today and Timesheet. Clock In and Clock Out capture the phone's GPS position (location, accuracy, and timestamp) on every punch. No signal? The punch queues offline and syncs when coverage returns; a denied location permission never blocks the punch itself.

In the office, Time Cards (Operations bucket) collects everything: draft → submitted → approved (or rejected), with running Regular / OT / DT / Total hours, and a Pay period view that lays out the two-week sheet.

Time cards feed two other places automatically: the Crew on Site section of the daily log, and — once QuickBooks payroll sync ships — your accounting. Hours entered once, used three times.

Try it yourself

  • Open the portal on your phone, pick a project, and clock in.
  • Find your punch's GPS capture on the time card.
  • Approve a submitted time card and check the pay-period view.

Key takeaways

  • Portal punches carry GPS and work offline; approval happens on Time Cards.
  • Regular, overtime, and double-time total automatically by pay period.
  • Hours flow into the daily log's crew section on their own.
