Dispatch & the Project Schedule

GoalRun the day board for techs, and the Gantt for the job.

Dispatch — the day board

Dispatch is one day at a time: a lane per technician, jobs dragged and resized on the hours, shift hours shaded, and statuses that move Scheduled → En route → On site → Completed. Each tech works their own My day page. The Print button produces the day sheet for the wall.

Schedule — the job's timeline

Every project has a Schedule with two tabs. The timeline is a working Gantt: drag tasks to move them, and finish-to-start dependencies cascade downstream dates when something slips. The milestones tab tracks the commitments — target vs actual, with overdue flags.

The Lookahead PDF prints the coming weeks as the field-ready handout — the thing that actually gets pinned in the trailer.

Try it yourself

  • Schedule two jobs for one tech tomorrow and print the day sheet.
  • Drag a Gantt task a week right and watch dependents cascade.
  • Generate the lookahead PDF for one project.

Key takeaways

  • Dispatch runs techs by the day; Schedule runs the job by the week.
  • Dependencies cascade — slipping one task moves what depends on it.
  • The lookahead PDF is the deliverable the field actually uses.
