Reading the Dashboard

GoalKnow what to look at each morning — and how the dashboard adapts to your kind of company.

The dashboard greets you by name and shows up to four attention chips built from live data — things like overdue follow-ups, bids awaiting response, or stale approvals. The New Bid button sits top right; it's the fastest path to a new estimate from anywhere.

What renders below depends on your company type. A specialty subcontractor sees a bidding dashboard; a general contractor sees a project-health dashboard.

Subcontractor view

  • KPI cards: Active Bids, Pipeline Value, Follow-Ups Due, and Win Rate
  • Upcoming Follow-Ups — sent bids that have gone quiet, with days-since-sent
  • Recent Activity — the newest entries from the activity log
  • Charts: pipeline funnel, win-rate trend, bid volume, follow-up effectiveness, and revenue by customer

General contractor view

  • KPI cards: Active Projects, Stale Approvals, Open Submittals, Open RFIs, Awaiting Updates
  • Needs Attention — flagged submittals, overdue RFIs, and participants ready for a nudge
  • This Week — upcoming meetings
  • A Projects tile grid with health dots: stale, blocked, attention, or On track
A brand-new account shows a welcome panel instead of zero-filled numbers — the KPIs and charts appear once there's real data behind them.

Try it yourself

  • Find your attention chips — what are they pointing you at today?
  • Locate the New Bid button without using the rail.
  • Open one item from Upcoming Follow-Ups or Needs Attention.

Key takeaways

  • The dashboard is built from live data and branches by company type — sub vs GC.
  • Subs get pipeline KPIs and follow-ups; GCs get project health and stale approvals.
  • New Bid lives top right on the dashboard.
