Start a schedule from a template
A professor using Tempus 7 with his class asked for template schedules for typical projects. Here they are.
- Open a project's Schedule and choose Templates → Start from a template. Four built-in templates come with Tempus 7: single-family residential, light commercial tilt-up shell, office tenant improvement, and site work only.
- Pick one, enter a start date, and the phases, tasks, links and milestones are laid out for you on working days, Monday to Friday. You see the whole schedule before you apply it.
- The durations are typical, not measured. Adjust them to your crew and scope.
- Save your own. On any project, choose Templates → Save as template to keep its tasks, durations and links without the dates, people or progress. Your templates appear in the picker for every project and under Settings → Schedule templates.
- If a project already has a schedule, applying a template replaces it after you confirm. A schedule with work already in progress can't be replaced.
- Dragging a task now moves everything that depends on it on working days too, so nothing lands on a weekend.
Tempus 7 in Spanish
- Tempus 7 is now available in US Spanish, alongside English and Brazilian Portuguese: screens, emails, PDFs and tutorials.
- Each person chooses their own language from the user menu at the top right, or under My Account.
Invitations to other companies
- When you invite a company to collaborate on Tempus 7 and they don't answer, we send one reminder after 3 days and a last one after 7. The Directory shows how many went out.
- Every invitation now ends with a link the recipient can use to stop invitations to that address. Once they use it, no company can invite that address again, and the Directory says so.
Sign-in and two-factor
- Sign-in ignores capital letters in your email address, so a phone that capitalizes the first letter no longer gets in the way.
- A welcome link that was already used says so and points you to sign in, instead of looking like an error.
- Setting up two-factor sign-in now explains the steps: install an authenticator app, scan the code, type the number it shows. A mistyped code says "try again" plainly.
Fixes
- After we release an update, a browser tab that was already open reloads itself instead of showing an error.
Where our promises stand
- Reminders for unanswered invitations: done, above.
- A Specifications module, with spec sections, revisions, and links from submittals and RFIs: the research is done and it's the next build.
