What's new in Tempus 7: September 23, 2026

Today's update came straight from your feedback. Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell us what was getting in the way.

Find your way around a project

• Every project now has tabs across the top: Overview, Schedule, Files, Photos and Compliance. Everything else for the project is under More, grouped into documents, money, team and field. The tabs work on phones too.
• The projects list has a Schedule link on each row.
• The project Overview shows a schedule snapshot with percent complete, anything overdue, and what starts next.

Your team

• Company admins can give anyone any role from Settings, Users, including custom roles.
• Adjust one person's permissions without creating a new role. You can grant only access you have yourself.
• New people get their invitation email automatically. If an invite is lost or expires, choose Resend invite and the old link stops working.
• Add a job title, like Superintendent or Office Manager. It shows under the person's name and never changes what they can access. Their role does that.
• Deactivate and reactivate people. Every change is recorded in the audit log.

RFIs and change orders

• Change orders keep numbered revisions. When a change order is revised, approval links sent for the earlier revision stop working, so nobody approves an outdated version.
• Mark one answer on an RFI as the Official Response.
• Link RFIs and change orders to drawings. You'll see a warning when a newer revision of a linked drawing has been issued.
• A History panel shows who changed what, and when.
• Export your change order log as a PDF.

Compliance

• The company-wide Compliance page has an Add document button. Pick the project, then add the certificate, license or waiver.
• The demo now includes sample compliance documents, so you can see how expiring and expired items look.

Install Tempus 7 as an app

• In Chrome or Edge, open your user menu at the top right and choose Install Tempus 7. You get an icon on your desktop and taskbar, and Tempus 7 opens in its own window.
• On iPhone, iPad and Safari on Mac, the same menu shows the two steps to add it.

News and feedback

• News now lives inside the app. Choose News in the left rail, next to Tutorials, for release notes like this one.
• The feedback box keeps what you type if you close it or a send fails. Discard asks before clearing it.
• When we reply to your feedback, the reply arrives in your notification bell and links back to the page you were on.

What we're working on next

• A Specifications module, with spec sections, revisions, and links from submittals and RFIs.
• Editing a task's dates after it's saved.
• Your own change order numbers, and a place to attach the signed change order sheet.
• Bringing invoices in from QuickBooks.
